Long Term and Short Term goals or learning intentions are
displayed in every lesson.
This was consistent in every classroom visited. Rather like
this idea as it fits nicely with Nuthalls and Perkins assertions that learning
best takes place when it is connected to bigger “problems/ questions” and then
broken down into smaller components. Simple structure complex results.
This is also reflected in the multiple assessment of each
Standardised outcome. The school stated that they will not report back on
student learning if they have only been assessed on an outcome once. This was
one of several references to learning taking over time.
